Welcome

Greenhurst Nursing Center originally opened in October of 1961, as a 20 bed, long-term care facility in Charleston, Arkansas. In order to better serve a growing community, Greenhurst expanded its bed capacity to 42 in 1962, and to 73 beds in 1967. The current bed capacity is 97, housed in a beautiful 34,000 square foot building which opened in December 1997, on a serene 40 acre campus one mile east of Charleston. The Nursing Center employs over 5% of our community's working citizens.

The Greenhurst campus provides many activities for residents as well as family and friends. Take a walk down to our gazebo to visit with family. Enjoy a picnic lunch and grill burgers with the brick barbeque grills. A fully stocked pond with sheltered dock provides a wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon. Children will love feeding the fish and ducks.

Greenhurst provides an array of things for any one person. There are many daily activities and social interactions.

Many people are receive rehabilitative therapy here as well - we provide on site physical therapy and exercises.  We are one of the few nursing homes that staff a full time rehabilitative certified nurses aide.
